I've combined my 25+ years of Information Technology experience with years of managing my neighborhood's HOA. Like most, I've lived in communities with an HOA that's not so fun to deal with.

I rarely have a positive conversation with a member of one of the "old school" HOAs. Take too long to get things done, too many committees, employ the wrong vendors, give management companies full control over what residents can and can't do,  petty violation notices, [insert complaint here]...
